U-Pick and Cleaning Process
One of the unique benefits of picking your own berries at BeeCee Farms is that we are able to field clean the berries on the spot. This allows the customer to pick large quantities of berries in a relatively short period of time. Many people are able to pick 20 lbs in 20 minutes.

Field Cleaned Berries
… and are ready for the freezer after being run through the field cleaner!
Sorted, Graded, & Cleaned Berries
These berries are processed by a line cleaner where the berries are first cleaned by removing debris, then graded for size with smaller and immature berries removed, before finally removing any remaining stems or green berries by hand.
About The Field Cleaner
The field cleaner is the one that we used in the late 1950’s and 60’s. It is able to blow out the grass and leaves along with some large debris. U-pickers take home clean berries along with an occasional green berry or bit of stem. This year we have invested in a cleaning table where the berries are picked over by hand so are now able to offer this extra cleaning process.
The field cleaning process can only work when the berries and fields are dry so we do not operate when it is raining or there is dew on the ground.
Please note that cell coverage at the fields can be spotty – please plan accordingly and bring cash, just in case!
